April 1, 2010 The world mobile conference is set to begin in Barcelona Spain. It is the mobile conference to end all mobile conferences. There will be 60,000 people attending this conference. We will be updating the latest developments. June 3, 2010 Google worried about a more secure internet. Some new chrome users and perhaps Firefox users have been using a new Google search method in its Beta Stage the SSL ( Secure Sockets Layer ) protocol. It is a more secure internet communications platform for web browsing, e-mail, IM and file transfers. The data transfer is encrypted and stays hidden from ISPs. That’s what Google says in any case. The question is if this SSL helps info stay hidden from Google itself. I would venture to say this seems unlikely, Google will still know obviously what your search terms are but there is a more cardinal problem for SEO geeks. Up till now Analytics program could discern which keywords were used to get to a site with SSL that will cease. That will make life more complicated for those trying to advance web sites with internet marketing techniques. June 7,2010 Iphone4 and Bing Steve Jobs with his new liver apparently working very well introduced the new Iphone4 in San-Francisco. A very intriguing part of this phone is the option to use Bing as the default search engine. This will certainly put a smile on Bill Gates face seeing Bing make great strides after its merger with Yahoo not that long ago. Should Google be worried? Probably not as the default Search engine is still Google but Bing is making slow and steady progress.
December 12, 2010 Google places seems to be the hottest thing to hit Google for a while. Over 40% of searches are done for local businesses and Google as usuall is cashing in big time. In fact most people do not know that their business is featured on Google places. Google scrapes relevant info form buisnesses and builds a Google place page for these companies. These pages become much more powerful once claimed and fully utilized.
